Guest Wi-Fi that gets you a real email. Book them direct next time.

HostAgain is a small box for short-term rentals and vacation homes. It plugs into the router you already have. When guests join the Wi-Fi, a welcome page with your logo asks for a name and an email. Then it gets out of the way. You keep the email. They keep the Wi-Fi.

  • Airbnb-friendly: switches itself off during Airbnb stays
  • Noise monitor built in, same box
  • Guests are never locked out

Two things that cost hosts money.

They loved the place. They came back the next summer. You paid the platform fee twice.

The platform gives you a masked address and keeps the relationship. When the family wants to come back, they search the same site, and you pay again. With a real email you can send one note in January and skip the middleman.

The first you heard about the party was a text from next door.

By the time a neighbor or the HOA gets in touch, the goodwill is gone. The same box that runs the welcome page measures loudness and sends you an alert while there is still time to text the group.

How the guest sign-in works

Everything here runs today in our own rentals.

  • A real email, not a masked address

Guests see a welcome page with your logo and your words. They type a name and an email (or a phone number) and they're on. Nobody has to stand in the kitchen with a clipboard. The contact lands in your dashboard right away.

  • Guests are never locked out

Smart TVs, game consoles, speakers and anyone who closes the page get online on their own after about 3 minutes. If the box is unplugged or stops working, the Wi-Fi keeps working. There is no new way for the Wi-Fi to "not work", and no "the Wi-Fi is broken" texts at 11 pm.

  • Airbnb-friendly

Airbnb's rules don't allow Wi-Fi sign-in pages that ask guests for an email at private rentals, so the page switches itself off during Airbnb stays. Connect your PMS (Hostaway, Guesty, Lodgify, OwnerRez and others) and it follows your bookings on its own. No PMS? Paste in your Airbnb calendar link and it works the same way. Direct, Vrbo and Booking.com guests see the welcome page.

  • The emails go where you work

Every property on one screen. Search guests by property and date. Download a CSV. Send them to Klaviyo, Mailchimp or any other tool through Zapier, Make or a webhook. Your list, not the platform's.

A noise monitor in the same box. It knows when it's getting loud.

It measures loudness, never listens and never records audio. By default, when loudness stays above 70 dBA (about a loud conversation) for 5 minutes during quiet hours (10 pm to 8 am), or above 85 dBA in the day, you get an alert in Slack and on the dashboard. Hear about a party from your phone, not from the neighbors or the HOA.

Set up in one visit

One spare port, one setting, one visit.

  1. Plug it in

The box goes into a spare port on the router the home already has, and into a wall outlet. Power, cable, done.

  2. Change one router setting

We send the exact steps for your router. Wi-Fi name and password stay the same, so your house manual stays right.

  3. Link the dashboard

Add your logo and a welcome line, connect your PMS or Airbnb calendar, and pick where alerts and emails go.

Router fit: most home routers work. Routers from Xfinity, Spectrum, Cox, Google Fiber, T-Mobile Home Internet and Starlink are locked, so those homes need a router you own. The form asks about this.

One box. One bill.

Guest Wi-Fi sign-in tools run about $19 a month. A separate noise monitor runs about $10 a month, with its own box and its own login. HostAgain does both for $10 per property per month. Pricing details for the box itself come with your invite.

We run several rentals on the Texas Gulf Coast. We built HostAgain to replace the guest Wi-Fi tool we were paying for.

We wanted the guest emails without the $19-a-month bill, and we wanted to know about a loud night before a neighbor told us. It's a working prototype in our own homes today. The first boxes for outside hosts go out to the waitlist in order, free loaners first.

Three quick questions help us pick who gets a free loaner box first. We read every answer.

  • Some hosts get a free loaner box. We pick from the answers below.
  • Everyone else gets the first chance to buy one at an early-host discount when the next batch is ready.
  • We email you in order. No newsletter. Just your invite and waitlist updates.
  • US rentals only for now. Outside the US? Join anyway and we'll email you when that changes.

Questions hosts ask

Will it work with my router?

Most home routers work. Routers from Xfinity, Spectrum, Cox, Google Fiber, T-Mobile Home Internet and Starlink are locked, so those homes need a router you own behind them. Tell us what you have in the form and we'll tell you before you commit to anything.

What about Airbnb's rules?

Airbnb's rules don't allow Wi-Fi sign-in pages that ask guests for an email at private rentals (hotels and resorts are the exception). HostAgain switches the page off by itself during Airbnb stays, so Airbnb guests just connect. It follows your bookings through your PMS (Hostaway, Guesty, Lodgify, OwnerRez and others), or through your Airbnb calendar link if you don't use one. Direct, Vrbo and Booking.com guests see the welcome page.

Does it replace the guest Wi-Fi sign-in tool I pay for?

That's why we built it. It does the same job for a vacation rental, a welcome page that asks guests for a name and an email, for $10 per property per month, with a noise monitor in the same box. Pricing for the box itself comes with your invite.

Does the noise monitor record anything?

No. It measures loudness, never listens. There is no audio recording and nothing to play back; it stores a loudness number, the same way a sound meter app does.

Do guests ever get stuck on the welcome page?

No. Anyone who closes the page, and any device that can't show one (a smart TV, a game console, a smart speaker), gets online on its own after about 3 minutes.

What if the box breaks or gets unplugged?

Guests keep their internet. The box sits beside the router, not in the path to it. If it's off, the welcome page simply doesn't show and nothing else changes. The dashboard shows when a box has gone quiet, so you know to plug it back in.

When does it ship?

It's a working prototype in our own rentals today. The first boxes for outside hosts go out to the waitlist in order, free loaners first. We'll email you when it's your turn, with pricing details for the box.

Is it available outside the US?

Not yet. The first boxes go to rentals in the US. If you host somewhere else, join the list anyway and we'll email you when that changes.
